Askew Student Life Center

The Askew Student Life Center is located in the heart of FSU's campus and is home to a number of exciting and important student services.

The Student Life Cinema campus film series, programmed by student members of the SLC Film Committee, is presented in our state-of-the-art movie theatre with Dolby Digital surround sound, 35mm and digital projection, and stadium style seating. You can visit our Cyber Café & Lounge in between classes or before a movie to grab a cup of coffee at the GRINDHOUSE and hang out with friends, study, surf the net, or check out board games and console games free using your FSU Student I.D.

ACE Learning Studio

Located in Johnston Ground, the ground floor of the Johnston Building (WJB), the ACE Learning Studio provides free tutoring in many subject areas, including accounting, biology, chemistry, economics, math, statistics, physics, and more. Please call with any questions or to make an appointment (850-645-9151 or make an appointment online). We offer both drop-in and appointment based tutoring. Other services available include computer lab, laptops, iPads, and study rooms — stop by and see us soon to ensure that your semester progresses smoothly!

Scale the climbing wall, spike a volleyball, swim, sun, or sail at the Rez! FSU's 73-acre lakefront property is a great afternoon getaway, just minutes from campus near the airport. Kayak, canoe, or try standup paddle boarding on Lake Bradford, all FREE for FSU students. Come out for a relaxing afternoon but leave a few things at home: Alcohol and pets are not allowed at the Rez!

Take advantage of FSU's on-campus fitness facilities to stay fit and well. Enjoy the gym, indoor track, pool, spas, racquetball and squash courts, cardiovascular and free weight areas, group fitness classes, and personal training services at the Leach Center. Or, visit the smaller Fitness & Movement Clinic in the Health & Wellness Center for more fitness and wellness options.

MoFA has a history of exciting projects–from lush painting to dynamic sculpture exhibitions, from challenging installations to provocative photography shows. Every season begins with an international competitive exhibition that embraces all media and every semester closes with the youth and exuberance of the graduating-artist exhibitions.

The Robert Manning Strozier Library, the University's main library, is located strategically in the center of the main campus and occupies seven floors. Its collection includes a wide variety of research materials, primarily in the humanities and social sciences.The Learning Commons is on the first floor of Strozier Library. Serving primarily undergraduate students, the LC contains a collection of resources and spaces designed to support student academic success and promote social connections.
